40k Video Battle Report – Exterminatus Down
We’re
taking a break from the ATC missions for a bit as the campaign for Agora as
restarted at Dicehead Games! I explain a bit about the campaign in the
beginning of the video, but it is worth repeating that Disorder is in the lead
after a victory in the second leg of the campaign, and the Imperials are
looking to protect their scattered assets. Today we will play out one of these
point defenses with the Relictors looking to stop a swarm of Hive Fleet Nug.

Review
This
mission suited the fast Tyranid style very well, and the Space Marines just
didn’t have time to fight before they were overrun. I almost think a successful
defense in this mission requires the defender to displace and maintain a
fighting withdrawal, although the approach will change depending on what army
is the aggressor. Space Marines vs. Chaos Space Marine would make for a much
more straightforward slugfest. I’m hoping to play this mission with Imperial
Guard defending the centerline; horde on horde always turns out nasty!
If
there is a particular scenario/mission style/challenge you’d like to see us
play, please leave a comment and we will do our best to see it played out. We
do have full-time jobs and families that somewhat limit our free time, but we
enjoy stepping out of the normal, boring tournament missions occasionally and
playing something crazy!
