Review
Ahriman
has proven beastly in his newest iteration, but this has to be the toughest we’ve
seen yet. The powers he rolled on Biomancy coupled nicely with a few timely
Boon rolls to make him an absolute juggernaut. He really seems to have
transferred his school of thought to the Blood God, which this old berserker
can definitely appreciate!
That
said, I think the Ynnari made an error in pulling the Yncarne out of combat
with him. I think the Avatar of Ynnead represented their best chance to bring
Ahriman to a halt, and trying to get that beat stick deeper into the Thousand
Sons line only ended in disaster. It might have worked differently if he had
leapt in the Thousand Sons turn, but the timing was off and led to the Yncarne
being easily picked up. I really think the entire game hinged on this decision,
and left the Eldar reeling from the disastrous casualties they took in that
scrap.
Stay
tuned; 7th edition is on its last legs, but we’re going to see it
out with a bang!
