Thoughts:
I
learned a lot more about the game this time around, since I was facing a new
opponent with a different approach to the gaming system. His focus on air power
allowed him to keep up pressure with devastating offensive weapons throughout.
While my AA net proved sufficient to suppress most of these attacks, I was
continually kept busy while he collected objectives.
From
watching his Fast Movers, I quickly realized that I’ve been selling my own too
short. They have excellent potential to harass enemy units in the back,
especially with their incredibly high numbers of E7 shots. As soon as I can get
some of these ordered, they will be making a debut in my lists.
I’m
still unsure on the Ocelots. While they seem to draw tons of aggression from my
weaker units, their complete lack of mobility and reliance on a single die to
turn up on the right number makes them seem lack-luster. These will probably be
cut for a pair of Warspears in my next list. Keep an eye out for more Dropzone
Commander as time goes on.
