Review
The
Thousand Sons started strong with their quick elimination of the Bloat Drones.
I really thought they were going to do a number on me from there, with their
firing line intact and the skirmishers eliminated. However, the blockages from
terrain proved more beneficial to me in the end.
The
Blight-Haulers really make it hard for the Thousand Sons to do their work. The
initial point to my armor makes their Inferno Bolters a lot less efficient, and
the additional anti-tank fire they bring means they have put paid to a good
portion of enemy armor each game. Coupled with their decent abilities in melee,
they are just a rock solid unit that always seems to get the job done on time.
The
Thousand Sons are in the process of brushing up their list for our next
encounter, though. I’m eager to see what Josh brings to the table the next time
his Rubrics square up for battle. In the works for Nurgle are a batch of Demons.
While I don’t think they will make the list more competitive, that has never
been what the channel was about. They are fluffy and I love the models, and I’m
eager to see what they bring to the table in terms of list dynamics. At the end
of the day, you can’t discount a 5++/5+!
