Warhammer 40,000 Battle Report #3 – Chaos Demons vs. Necrons
This
game is a couple of weeks old by now, but it was our first attempt at
showcasing the power of the new Malefic Demonology chart. Josh stepped behind
the army to square off against the Chaos-hating Necrons of the Azdrokhar
Dynasty in this week’s 40k Battle Report!

We went through
great pains to record the detailed list of psychic powers this army produces
during the video itself, so I won’t bore you (and cause myself a migraine) by
repeating them here!

Review
This
game was destined to be a close-ranged slugfest, with the Necrons fending off
waves of incoming demons. However, a few powers went against Josh and it simply
left the Demons with no teeth to fend off the disciplined gauss fire.
Brian
played this one perfectly, concentrating his firepower on the units that were
most threatening to him at that time. The Demons could have still made some
headway, but I think Josh threw too many dice at a few powers, leaving him with
no ability to augment his strength.
This
does seem to be the biggest downfall to a list built just for summoning new
units. While it has the potential to create a devastating amount of new units,
it also lacks any real power until those units arrive. Early damage can cripple
your dice pool in the Psychic Phase, leaving you unable to ever stop the slide
against your forces.

watching the video, and thanks for visiting the blog. Leave a comment below on
the game and let us know what you think of the new Conjuration powers.
