Review
Wow,
that truly was a bloodbath! More than one hundred models died in one and a half
turns. That said, I do feel like my opponent dropped out of the game a bit
earlier than he should have. The Orks had taken some serious damage, but their
firepower was intact and I’m not sure my Carnifexes and Haruspex would have
survived another round of close combat like their terrible rolls the first time
around. The Orks were facing an uphill struggle to recover the Relic, but I
still think it could have been turned into a fight.
The
Hive Crones just continue to earn their place in the army. They roasted an
absolute ton of Orks in this game, and with the No Escape rule they can start
whittling the Orks down before they even leave their transports. I’m starting
to wonder if a third Crone may be in order, but I’m not sure how to place it in
the army without affecting balance elsewhere.
I
need to try some different Tyranid builds, as I’ve stayed true to this list
with a few small exceptions for quite some time now. While the list is working
well for me, it never hurts to experiment with some new mixes to keep the Hive
Mind evolving.

always, thanks for reading and for watching.
