Review
The
Necron war of attrition just kept picking away at the Space Marines. Despite
the success of most of my plan, the Space Marines launched one counterattack
after another that continually denied me range to start attacking the bunkers.
Until I remembered that the mission used Kill Points as well, I thought I was
in serious trouble.
At
the end of the day, the Imperials did their job, selling their lives to keep
the bunkers intact. This only became a problem in the end, when their
casualties started to tell. It is important to remember that these missions are
designed around the idea of accomplishing as many of the end conditions as
possible. While they may have been mauled badly in terms of casualties, the
bunker complex remained mostly intact, and the Necrons just didn’t have time to
make it in.
Stay
tuned; there are many more games coming in the Stulte Mors series!
