Warhammer 40,000 – Stulte Mors #3 – Mission 2
We’re
continuing the story of Stulte Mors today, with mission two coming down the
pipeline. The Imperials have started a stalwart defense of their food stores,
but the Necrons are more than happy to see them burned to the ground. Prince
Albert in a can? The Necron Nemesor will see to that!

Review
The
food stores burned, and the Blood Angels were forced to retreat with their
force in tatters. Man, nothing could go right for him! His Armor Saves were
abysmal, and though his shooting attacks were spot on nothing could get through
my Reanimation Protocols. He killed several of my models three times over, but
nothing landed once the repairs went into effect.
My
plan for this one was a steady advance, seeking to grind his forces down
through continual firefights as we pushed the center of the table. I was
nervous about putting the Monoliths into Reserve, simply because I knew the
table would fill up quickly. Luckily they showed up early, giving me the space
I needed to push the line of engagement into his half of the table. The
Warriors paid the price with atrocious casualties, but the Reanimation
Protocols were hot enough to keep him busy whittling them down for the entire
length of the game. They went down nearly to a man, but they are Warriors, and
that’s exactly what we keep them around for!
